CCDC Innovation Fund

Accelerating the next generation of structural chemistry ventures

The CCDC Innovation Fund is a new seed funding programme supporting start-ups and university spin-outs developing innovative applications of structural chemistry data.

Backed by an initial commitment from the CCDC of up to £300,000, the fund is designed to help early-stage ventures transform promising scientific ideas into real-world impact.

We are particularly interested in organisations combining structural chemistry with advances in AI and machine learning to address important challenges across research and industry.

More than funding

In addition to seed funding, successful applicants may receive:

Access to the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD)
Scientific and technical support and expertise from the CCDC
Opportunities to connect with the CCDC’s global community
Increased visibility within the structural chemistry ecosystem

Driving scientific innovation

The CCDC Innovation Fund reflects CCDC‘s mission to connect trusted structural chemistry data, scientific expertise and innovative people. By supporting emerging ventures, we aim to accelerate discovery, enable new technologies and expand the impact of structural chemistry data worldwide.

Any financial returns generated through the programme will be reinvested to further CCDC‘s charitable mission and support future scientific innovation.
