What versions of Python are supported for components of the CSD Portfolio that use Python?

Solution

Some components of the CSD Portfolio use your system Python in order to run Python scripts, for example the conformer generator, or some scripts used to manage in-house databases.

While these scripts do not use the CSD Python API, we recommend that your default Python is one of the versions that the CSD Python API is available for (see the latest CSD Python API documentation for details). Testing of any functionality that requires Python will be conducted on the CSD Python API supported Python version(s) available at the time of release.

You may also use the miniconda Python distribution installed by the CSD Portfolio for use of the CSD Python API for any other Python scripts used by the CSD Portfolio even if those scripts do not require the CSD Python API.
