Does CCDC provide counter compliant usage statistics for access to WebCSD?
Solution
Not at the moment.
WebCSD forms only one interface to the Cambridge Structural Database software suites, which currently comprise several locally installed software packages for expert searching and analysis of the CSD database, in addition to the access to frequently used search options WebCSD provides.
WebCSD usage statistics alone, therefore, would underrepresent the overall usage of the CSD software suites by an institution. As a consequence of this, we do not collect or provide such data, as they would deliver an inadequate view of both CSD software suite use and its value to its users.
