Can I access Inorganic/ICSD data through the CSD Portfolio?

Solution

The CCDC and FIZ Karlsruhe joint deposition and access services mean you can now view and retrieve inorganic structures alongside structures in the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) for free through Access Structures

Access Structures enables you to look up structures based on identifiers and bibliographic details. If you would like to do more extensive searching of the Inorganic Crystal Structure Database (ICSD) then you will need to go to the ICSD website for more information about obtaining access. The CSD Portfolio and ConQuest does not include the ICSD. Similarly advanced searching and analysis of the CSD can only be done through the CSD Portfolio

All of the existing expert data curation and publishing processes at both the CCDC and FIZ Karlsruhe are still in place to ensure that you will still have access to the high-quality data and advanced analysis capabilities on which you can depend. The highly curated CSD and ICSD databases and any associated advanced software will continue to develop and to be available independently from the CCDC and FIZ Karlsruhe, respectively.
