GOLD Interactive Web Trial
released
The CCDC is pleased to announce the release of our new public
GOLD Interactive Web Trial.
This is designed to allow users to run real-time interactive GOLD dockings
over the internet in order to learn more about GOLD's features and gain first-hand
experience of its performance. As the dockings are performed, you will be able to
visualise the results.

The winners of this year's European Crystallography Association Poster Prizes for Younger Scientists, sponsored by the CCDC,

The CCDC is pleased to announce the release of Mogul 1.0
Mogul is a knowledge base of molecular
geometry and provides easy access to information on the preferred values of
bond lengths, valence angles and acyclic torsion angles, using data derived
from the CSD.

Water motifs in crystals are a hot topic...
The recently published CCDC paper entitled:

Modelling Crystal Packing...
The paper entitled "A new model of crystal packing" Elna Pidcock and Sam Motherwell (Chem. Commun., 3028-3029, 2003), received 395 accesses from the RSC website in December, putting it into the top ten most-accessed Chem. Commun. papers for that month.

The CCDC is pleased to announce the release of Mercury 1.2.1
Mercury 1.2.1 features the ability to vary label colours on atoms, centroids, planes and cells.
The representation of contacts can be changed (wireframe or capped stick) and the colour may also be varied.
Additionally, aromatic rings can be represented with circles.
Mercury 1.2.1 can be downloaded for free from the Mercury page of our website.

New CSDSymmetry database, containing 273291 molecules.
The IUCr Newsletter has been publishing for some years reviews of
recent or forthcoming articles published in the IUCr journals.
A recent paper on CSDSymmetry has been included on page 6 of the
Winter 2003 newsletter
(Volume 11, No. 4), as a very nice paper of quite broad significance.
