WebCSD Teaching Examples

The following exercises utilise a free interactive demonstration version WebCSD - the new online portal to the Cambridge Structural Database. This demonstration version of WebCSD allows you to browse all 500 entries in the CSD teaching database.
Further information on the full version of WebCSD, which allows you to perform text, numeric and chemical substructure searches on the entire Cambridge Structural Database of almost half a million structures, is available here:
By integrating the use of crystal structure data into your course you will provide your students with the chance to visualise and manipulate molecules in 3D and to work with real measured data, complete with experimental error and statistical variation.
