Solution

Note: The following information applies only to WebCSD version 1 (legacy WebCSD).

This is due to an issue that the Java Update (21) has introduced.

We have prepared a patch that resolves the issue and have applied this to CCDC's public WebCSD servers.

If you experiencing this issue with your own in-house installation of WebCSD then you will need to download this patch file and apply it to your WebCSD installation by copying the file webcsdjavapatch.tar.gz to your htdocs/result_browser directory of your WebCSD installation and unpacking the files it contains with

gunzip -c webcsdjavapatch.tar.gz | tar xvf -

An alternative solution for individual users is to go to the Advanced tab of the Java Control Panel app and in the "Mixed Code (sandboxed vs trusted) security verification" option change the setting to "Disable verification".
