I have installed IsoStar as part of the CSD Portfolio. What does it do?

Solution

IsoStar is a knowledge base encapsulating information about intermolecular interactions found in the CSD. The 3D scatterplot showing an A-B intermolecular interaction quickly allows you to understand what is the preferred geometry of interaction, whether the interaction is common or not (through the density of points) and where the strongest interactions are found (through the display of propensity contours). IsoStar can be invoked through the Mercury interface: right clicking on a contact and choosing the option "IsoStar Interaction Check" then clicking Download on the appropriate scatterplot. For more information about IsoStar please see the product documentation.
