I am not able to visualise a structure in WebCSD with Jmol in Internet Explorer
Solution
Note: The following information applies only to WebCSD version 1 (legacy WebCSD).
To enable the 3D structure to be visualised using the Jmol plugin, Internet Explorer requires Compatibility View to be enabled:
- Open WebCSD in Internet Explorer
- Go to Tools (If the Tools tab is not visible in Tools bar, right click in the blank area at the top of the browser and check the option for displaying Menu bar).
- Select Compatibility View Settings
- Click Add which will add ‘cam.ac.uk’ to the ‘Websites you’ve added to Compatibility View:’ You should then be able to visualise structures in Jmol
