Stewart joined the CCDC in 2014, where he leads software development in the Life Sciences team. This team is responsible for several CCDC products, including the CSD Python API. Stewart holds an MChem in Chemistry from the University of Sheffield and a D.Phil. in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Oxford. After a period of PostDoctoral research in the group of Prof. Andy McCammon, during which Stewart worked on protein modelling and simulation, he worked as a scientific software engineer and consultant. His projects typically related to molecular modelling and cheminformatics.
