FAQs
Why am I not able to export my Packing Feature results to the Data Analysis module in Mercury 3.3?
Solution
If you have performed a Crystal Packing Feature search using Mercury CSD, you can normally export the list of results (including any measured geometric values) to the Data Analysis module by clicking on the Spreadsheet button at the bottom of the Searches tab. Mercury version 3.3 contains a minor issue wherein the Data Analysis module opens, but the Packing Feature search results are not loaded as a spreadsheet and the window stays blank.
This issue has now been fixed in version 3.3.1 of Mercury - the software update is available via the Mercury auto-update mechanism or by download from the following page: http://www.ccdc.cam.ac.uk/products/csd_system/updates
In the mean time if you are unable to apply the CSD System update, you can work around the problem in the Data Analysis module by going to the Options menu, selecting Windows > New Spreadsheet and then clicking on the name of the Packing Feature search. If you choose all the data fields and click OK, this will populate the spreadsheet with the Packing Feature search results.
