I am having problems using a PostgreSQL database with GoldMine. Can you help?

Unfortunately, while use of PostgreSQL databases in GoldMine is possible, we do not fully support this feature. If a problem with PostgreSQL occurs we would recommend use of SQLite instead, which is fully supported. If the problem persists, please forward details of how to reproduce the error with SQLite to support@ccdc.cam.ac.uk.

A useful resource for PostgreSQL administrative questions can be found at:

I get an error when creating a goldmine from SDF files

Certain tags in input files cause GoldMine problems. GoldMine fails to create the database giving an error "There was an error creating ... near ... : syntax error"

The following table notes these tags, and a suitable alternative:

Problem tagAlternative tag
SET-1 PLATESET_1 PLATE
logP(o/w)logP_o_w
-logEC50_logEC50
